The health department, Gurugram aims to provide 100% booster coverage to its healthcare workforce by the end of June. Hence, the department has asked the district administration and hospitals to provide a list of employees who have not taken the precautionary jab yet.

In the NCR district, 48,511 frontline workers and 45,427 healthcare workers are eligible for precautionary doses out of which 8,722 (18%) and 11,968 (26%) of the workers have taken a shot respectively. Also, 11,000 police force employees and 6,000 MCG are eligible for the precautionary dose but they have not taken a jab so far. 

Dr. Virendra Yadav, CMO, Gurugram stated that all the government departments and private hospitals have been asked to submit a list of eligible employees including the reason for not taking the Covid shot yet. However, the private hospitals have stated that the healthcare workers understand the side effects and are more cautious against possible infection.
