Moderna, a covid vaccine manufacturer is planning to build a manufacturing unit in Quebec announced Canadian PM Justin Trudeau. The large-scale unit is estimated to deliver up to 100 million mRNA vaccine doses annually. The facility will also be manufacturing vaccines for other respiratory diseases such as influenza, an ongoing pending trial yet to be approved by Health Ministry of Canada.

Canadian PM stated that the vaccines saved everybody and is bringing back Canadians’ life to normality. Canadian Health Minister added that the government will build a biomanufacturing unit to ensure a continuous supply to its citizen. 

Health Canada authorized the Moderna vaccine administration for adults, teenagers, and children aged six to eleven in December 2020, August 2021, and March 2022 respectively with the company applying to receive approval for administration to children between six months and five years old.
