Union Minister Mandaviya: Healthcare is being made Accessible and Patient-friendly

On Monday, union minister Mansukh Mandaviya stated that the center is working on providing synergistic preventive healthcare and modern medical facilities. He added that along with the reduction in the cost of treatment for the poor, the center is making efforts to increase the number of doctors in an inaugural event for a multi-specialty Outpatient and Inpatient (OPD/IPD) blocks at the Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) and associated hospital, Delhi.

He further stated that the state plays an important role in launching and implementing healthcare programs developed by the center. He said, “Making health accessible, affordable and patient-friendly is very important. Our efforts need to be in the direction of advancement of the nation; the nation should always come first”.

Dr. Bharati Pawar, Minister of State expressed that better health facilities are not limited to the treatment of diseases. He added that a proficient healthcare system promotes and encourages social justice by stating that when the socio-economically poor are provided with affordable and quality treatment, their faith in the system is strengthened.
