Covid vaccination drive in Afghanistan from June: WHO

The World Health Organization has announced that it will begin its COVID-19 vaccination drive in Afghanistan from June 2022. The vaccination campaign is slated to cover 34 provinces and target over 5 million individuals aged 18 years and above. 

As of May 22, a total of 6, 118, 557 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Afghanistan. Since 2020, Afghanistan has reported a total of 179, 835 COVID-19 cases with 7699 deaths.
