On Sunday, Mumbai recorded over 100 Covid cases with two fatalities, both in individuals who were below 40 years of age. The city recorded a high positivity rate of 11% along with 1,803 cases recorded on Sunday itself, the high single day in more than four months.

Out of 111 patients who were hospitalized, about a dozen needed oxygen support stated a civic official. As per the civic data, only 6% of the critical patients are on ventilators. Meanwhile, the state’s total Covid 19 toll has reached 1,47,870 and the city’s total cumulative tally is reported as 19,573. Out of the total tally, Mumbai and the Pune region account for 90% of the cases, whereas, other cities like Nagpur and Nashik reported a marginal rise in the Covid cases.
