Bihar: Health Minister Mangal Pandey stated that healthcare facilities will be provided in flood-prone areas across the state to ensure efficient and effective medical services to newborn, expecting mothers physically challenged individuals and others who need help. He also added that health workers are also being sent to flood-prone villages to acquire a detailed list of people who might need special care.

Minister Mr. Pandey added that temporary maternity care centers with doctors and paramedics have been created in the relief camp to help flood-affected citizens. He explained that the Government will also provide a sufficient quantity of bleaching powder and other disinfectants for use after flood water recedes to prevent outbreaks of an epidemic.

Meanwhile, NDRF and SDRF have dedicated boats and mobile medical units that will coordinate with doctors and paramedics to ensure immediate help in flood-prone areas.
