Mr. Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, announced that the state government would launch a special campaign to combat communicable diseases beginning on July 1.

To safeguard the state against vector-borne illnesses including dengue, malaria, chikungunya, and others, the chief minister instructed the officials to maintain routine sanitation and fogging activities on Thursday. He emphasized the collaboration of groups like PATH, WHO, and UNICEF. People are being made aware of the value of cleanliness, sanitization, and fogging as part of this unique campaign.

At the block level, the government has established an encephalitis care center with PICU beds and qualified medical staff. Additionally appointed in the districts are trained physicians, paramedical personnel, staff nurses, and AES. The laboratories have an adequate number of technicians, and everyone is skilled. To ensure that the required arrangements are made with the departments of women′s and children′s development, agriculture, basic secondary education, rural development, and health, the state government has also developed inter-departmental coordination.

Throughout the campaign, ministers and nodal officers would be available throughout the areas. They will also take part in numerous programs to spread the word about the value of wholesome food, sanitation, and hygiene. Village leaders should receive training to perform door-to-door health surveys in addition to Anganwadi and ASHA employees. They are responsible for educating people about numerous diseases spread by mosquitoes and bodies of water.

Officials have been instructed to provide clean drinking water and chlorine tablets and also demonstrate the chlorination process to people if necessary. Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Aditynath further said "intensive vector surveillance is essential. Proper arrangements should be made for rapid screening and isolation of patients found with symptoms."
