With the aim of updating the primary health centres (PHCs) with the most recent technology, offering digital video calling capabilities, and implementing the upgraded Arogyasri program as of August 1, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered health officials to launch the family doctor program on August 15.

He directed the hospitals to include toll-free numbers in both the consent forms from patients before admitting and in the declaration forms from patients when discharging them. The forms should be filled out properly mentioning the details of the patient′s treatment, government assistance, Aarogya Aasara, and also follow-up should be done for the discharged patients.

Further, after reviewing the state′s Covid-19 situation he instructed accelerating the vaccination process for people above 60 years as the gap between the second dose and precautionary dose has been reduced. In this concern, the officials reported that the Covid-19 situation in the state was under control and that only 69 patients had been hospitalized, and were recovering well.
