First Suspected Case of Monkeypox in Rajasthan

On Monday, a 20-year-old individual was admitted to the government hospital in Jaipur. The youth was exhibiting symptoms of the monkeypox infection and his samples have been sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune. Dr. Ajit Singh, Superintendent of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, stated that the youth was referred to the government hospital from Kishangarh on Sunday.

Dr. Singh added that the youth had been suffering from fever for the last four days and had developed rashes on his body. He added that the youth has been kept under observation in the special ward for monkeypox cases.
