Emphasizing the significance of integrating different medicine systems for the larger public good, Union Minister of AYUSH, Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal said that the central government id working towards creating a unified healthcare network that blends complementary medicine with the traditional systems. 

He further added, “the centre’s goal is to ensure better health of the people by getting the modern and traditional medical treatment work together, and plans were afoot to establish a healthcare system by combining the two from the top to the bottom.” 

He highlighted country’s achievement in offering COVID-19 vaccines to 200 crore people free of cost, along with providing vaccines to almost 125 countries. THE global community has also been attracted to Yoga, through celebration of the International Day of Yoga. WHO has recognized our traditional medical system by establishing the WHO Global Health for Traditional Medicine in Jamnagar, Gujrat.
