The number of patients seeking treatment from ENT doctors for ear pain and other fungal diseases has increased due to the weather change, high humidity levels, and weakened immunity brought on by the predominance of viral infections this monsoon.

According to health officials, over 30% of patients, are currently complaining of ear infections.

Dr. Savyasachi Saxena, consultant, ENT, Fortis Hospital, Noida stated that this year, ear infection cases are rising, but maintaining proper hygiene and boosting daily nutrition can help to get significant relief.

To boost immunity, doctors suggested taking 500 mg of vitamin C every day. Senior ENT physician (Col) Subodh Kumar of the Jaypee Hospital in Noida said that children are mostly getting infected due to the changing weather.
