Is football safe?

 

Between 1.6 and 3.8 million sports-related concussions occur annually, and football is responsible for the lion’s share. Football players are also subject to hundreds of small, subconcussive injuries per season; hits to the head that shake up the brain, but don’t rise to the level of a full-blown concussion.

NBE shall be conducting NEET-SS 2018 on a computer-based platform in June 2018 in a single session. As per directions from Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India vide their letter dated 25/01/2018, the following scheme for NEET-SS 2018 is hereby notified. A candidate can choose a maximum of two super specialty courses for which his/her broad specialty qualification is eligible, at the time of online submission of the application form.

 

Pattern of examination: 40% of the questions shall be from the feeder broad specialty course and the remaining 60% shall be from the super specialty course selected by the candidate at the time online submission of application form. NBE may club certain super specialties in which the number of seats offered is less.

 

NEET results

 

In accordance with the eligibility criteria for admission to Post Graduate course as mentioned in the Information Bulletin for NEET-PG 2018, the cut off scores for various categories are as follows:

Two major initiatives in health sector announced under Ayushman Bharat for a new India -2022

 

  • Health and Wellness Centre: The National Health Policy, 2017 has envisioned Health and Wellness Centres as the foundation of India’s health system. Under this 1.5 lakh centres will bring health care system closer to the homes of people. These centres will provide comprehensive health care, including for non-communicable diseases and maternal and child health services.  These centres will also provide free essential drugs and diagnostic services. The Budget has allocated Rs.1200 crore for this flagship program. Contribution of private sector through CSR and philanthropic institutions in adopting these centres is also envisaged.

 

  • National Health Protection Scheme: The second flagship program is National Health Protection Scheme, which will cover over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families (approximately 50 crore beneficiaries) providing coverage up to 5 lakh rupees per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.  This will be the world’s largest government funded health care program. Adequate funds will be provided for smooth implementation of this program.

 

o      The present Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) provides annual coverage of only Rs 30,000 to poor families. Several State Governments have also implemented/supplemented health protection schemes providing varying coverage. My Government has now decided to take health protection to more aspirational level," the Finance Minister said.

o      Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana (PMJJBY) has benefitted 5.22 crore families with a life insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh on payment of a premium of only Rs 330/-per annum.

o      Under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, 13 crore 25 lakh persons have been insured with personal accident cover of Rs 2 lakh on payment of a premium of only Rs 12 per annum. The Government will work to cover all poor households, including SC/ST households, under these in a mission mode.
