While speaking at a conference conducted at Gitam University on "advance in animal models and cutting-edge research in alternatives," Dr. Suresh Poosala, founder of Acasta Health and OncoSeekBio Pvt Ltd., stated that experts around the world are seeking a newer alternative for the animal model in drug research.

He explained that experts have begun to accept the possibility that animal models will not faithfully replicate human disease. Dr. Suresh stated that much progress has been made in the last few decades in researching animal models across multiple areas of disease research. He added that the USFDA is also exploring alternative methods for drug development.
