The study evaluated nursing satisfaction, self-management ability, blood lipid index, and negative emotions of the two groups of patients before and after nurse intervention.

The study observed-

  • A decrease in the fasting blood glucose level of the two groups of patients 2 hours after a meal, after nursing. The observation group showed lower levels than the control group.

  • No significant difference in the quality-of-life scores between the two groups before the nursing intervention. While an increase in the quality-of-life scores of the two groups after the nursing intervention. The observation group showed higher scores than the control group.
  • Significantly Lower serum triglyceride (TG), cholesterol (TC), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in the observation group than the control group after nursing, while significantly higher serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) in the observation group than the control group.
  • Significantly higher nursing satisfaction and self-management scores in the observation group.

This study shows the potential of High-quality nursing in improving glucose and lipid metabolism levels and quality of life in elderly patients with diabetes, which is worthy of clinical application.
