The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) will shortly establish 106 sub-health centers around the city, which will have outpatient departments (OPD) and offer other services to city inhabitants. Each sub-health center will contain one MBBS doctor and four other employees, including a staff nurse, multipurpose worker, attendant, and security guard.

The existing 30 urban primary health centers (UPHCs) will continue to operate these sub-centers, offering non-communicable disease treatment for conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension.

The Center has approved the establishment of 106 sub-health centers in the city under the 15th Finance Commission. The Center will pay the salary of the medical professionals working in the sub-health facilities, including doctors.

The NMC officials said that each UPHC would have three to four sub-health centers. These will decrease child mortality in the city by helping in vaccination, family planning, and other health services. Furthermore, these sub-health centres will conduct surveys and gather information on people over 30 who have comorbid illnesses like cancer, diabetes, cardiac disease, and other such ailments.
