On Sunday, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, the union health minister, stated that ABHA cards will improve patient health records′ accessibility throughout the nation. The event was organised to inaugurate Ayushmann Bharath Digital Mission (ABDM) services at AIIMS Bibinagar.

The Central government launched the ABDM programme to digitalize health data throughout the nation. The programme included patient registration using QR codes and a Health Management Information System (HMIS).

HMIS is software used to handle data in hospitals along with several digital services, such as patient registration, patient queue management, lab information systems, physicians′ desks, and OP billing.

Dr Mandaviya went on to say that with an Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) card, patients can access their medical records anywhere, at any time, without fear of losing them across India. As a result, it will enhance patient’s access to their health records in the palm of their hands.
