The data published on Wednesday by the Union Health Ministry, reported that the number of COVID-19 cases in India climbed by 111 in a single day, taking total tally of active cases to 1,783. According to the figures updated at 8 am, there have been 5,30,740 fatalities and 4.46 crore Covid cases.

In comparison to the weekly positivity, which was 0.07 percent, the daily positivity was 0.07 %.The health ministry website showed that the national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.81%, and active cases currently make up 0.01 percent of all infections.

Data further reported that 4,41,50,372 people have recovered from the illness, and the case fatality rate has been reported at 1.19 %. India′s COVID-19 total touched 20-lakh on August 7, 2020, 40 lakh on September 5, and 4 on January 25 of this year, India′s COVID-19 total passed the 20-lakh mark.

Indias COVID-19 tally crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 50 lakh on September 16 , 90 lakh on November 20 and touched 4 crore on January 25 this year.

The ministry′s website further confirmed that more than 220.51 crore doses of COVID vaccine have been given under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign, throughout the country.
