On Monday, Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya claimed that it is crucial to guarantee that medications and medical items made in India are of the best quality. He stated that Indias goal is to become renowned as the world′s most reputable and acknowledged drug regulator.

He stated that it is critical to ensure that Indian medications and medical products are of the highest quality for both domestic and international markets. Therefore, to ensure this, the Center and states should collaborate to build reliable regulatory systems. He added that they must cooperate harmoniously and synergistically within the federal democratic framework of the nation.

Additionally, he emphasized that "quality by design" should be the guiding principle and that the regulatory systems for medications should take into account the needs for innovation, organization strengthening, research and development, and capacity enhancement.
