Mumbai: The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has granted final approval to Glenmark Pharmaceuticals for Prochlorperazine Maleate Tablets USP, 5 mg and 10 mg, the companys generic version of GlaxoSmithKlines Compazine tablets, 5 mg, and 10 mg.

Glenmark will provide prochlorperazine maleate pills to customers in the US. According to the IQVIATM sales data for the 12 months ending January 2023, the market for Compazine tablets for the 12 months ending January 2023, the market for Compazine tablets (5 mg and 10 mg) generated annual sales of about $26.9 million.

As for the present product portfolio of Glenmark, 182 items are approved for distribution in the US market, and 46 ANDAs are awaiting USFDA approval.
