The Assam State Branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has expressed great worry and dissatisfaction over a viral video clip showing the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup district misbehaving with a senior doctor on duty at Singimari model hospital.

The IMA branch in Assam strongly condemned the actions of the district head and stated that they always protect the dignity of doctors and medical professionals. The members of the association stated that they are extremely troubled by the public exhibition of misbehavior by the highest representative of the constitution.

Dr. Arunima Goswami, State President of the IMA, Assam State Branch, has urged the Health Minister to take the necessary actions to prevent similar events in the future. The medical community anticipates that essential safeguards and guidelines will be put forward to preserve the safety and dignity of physicians and medical workers.
