According to a statement issued by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday, the National Health Authority (NHA), through its flagship scheme, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), is rapidly expanding the digital healthcare delivery ecosystem with the successful integration of more than 100 health programs and health applications.

These programs included notable names like A-HMIS (Ministry of Ayush), eSushrut, eSanjeevani 2.0, ESIC, Haryana e-Upchaar, ANM, Andhra Pradesh Health EHR, West Bengal Integrated HMIS, and other healthcare solutions from the government sector. It also included 33 health apps developed by innovators in the private sector.

Sources from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that integrating digital health solutions with ABDM is a driving force in the development of a digital health ecosystem that will be accessible to all sections of society. These interfaces enable more individuals to take advantage of the benefits of digital health services such as the creation of an ABHA account, digital access to and exchange of health information, quick registration for OPD services, and more.

The NHA chief executive officer noted that this growing pool of ABDM integrators represents the collaborative efforts of health technology innovators from the public and private sectors in making healthcare service delivery more efficient, accessible, and affordable for all.

Additionally, he also revealed that all health applications that have successfully linked with ABDM (Integration Milestone 1 is accomplished) provide ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) creation and verification services to their respective customers.

He noted that, out of 100 programs and applications, 53 have reached the next level of ABDM integration (Milestone 2) to become a Health Information Provider (HIP). Meanwhile, 45 health apps have achieved the last ABDM integration milestone (Milestone 3) and have been designated as Health Information Users (HIU).
