On Sunday, the Union Minister of State for Health, Mrs. Bharati Pravin Pawar, stated that the threat of pandemics is far from over and that the present requirement is to integrate and improve monitoring systems across countries under the "One Health" framework. She noted that the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted that partnerships are most fruitful only when developed during peacetime and not amidst an ongoing pandemic.

Mrs. Pawar urged G20 leaders to create an interim platform that will be guided by and feed into the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) process, stating that Indias G20 presidency is working to build consensus for an end-to-end global medical countermeasure ecosystem using a network of networks approach and leveraging existing global and regional initiatives.

Mr. G. Kishan Reddy emphasized the role of Indian traditional knowledge systems in healthcare, stating that the Indian traditional knowledge system propagates preventive and holistic well-being for all. Furthermore, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modis ambition of making India one of the new centers of medical value travel, Mr. Reddy stated that India is home to economical, efficient, and dependable healthcare, positioning the country as a go-to destination for medical value travel.

In conclusion, he stated that ″there cannot be a better platform than the G20 to support, harness, and facilitate the power of universal healthcare to build a healthy and motivated world.″
