Jagat Pharma, a company based in Uttar Pradesh, has received certification from the WHO-GMP (World Health Organisation – Good Manufacturing Practises) and the Certificate of Pharmaceutical Products (CoPP) for its ground-breaking product, the ayurvedic eye drops Isotine Plus.

Dr. Mandeep Singh Basu, Director of Jagat Pharma, stated that this is the first time a WHO-GMP and CoPP certificate has been awarded to an Ayurvedic eye drop manufacturer in India.  He revealed that Isotine Plus had been used in the clinical setting for 36 years to treat and reverse cataract-induced vision impairment.

Jagat Pharma conducted clinical testing on individuals with developing cataracts and other difficult eye conditions. The six-month study, which included 70 participants, showed a significant improvement in cases of immature cataracts and a decrease in cataract grade (from grade II to grade I). It was determined that frequent, long-term usage of Isotine Plus is safe.

Additionally, Jagat Pharma recently published the findings of a retrospective observational study on Isotine Plus headed by Prof. Yamini of Banaras Hindu University, Uttar Pradesh. The trial included 308 cataract patients who were treated between 2017 and 2019.

The study showed that Isotine Plus ayurvedic eye drops significantly improved Uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA) and uncorrected near visual acuity (UNVA) after therapy.
