Tech Solutions for Healthcare Crisis: Yogi Advocates Innovation to Tackle Specialist Shortage

Lucknow: On Thursday, Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath announced that sufficient funds are available to provide healthcare to those in need while attending the inaugural function of the Comprehensive Cancer Care Programme at Medanta Hospital.

 

Fe also emphasized the role of technology in addressing the shortage of specialist doctors in remote areas. He highlighted the challenge of retaining highly qualified specialist doctors in remote regions and suggested that technology could enhance healthcare services there. 

 

He praised the potential of telemedicine to deliver top-notch services in remote locations and mentioned the successful operation of virtual Intensive Care Units (ICUs) through technology. 

 

Dr. Naresh Trehan, the chairman and managing director of the Medanta Group, delivered a virtual address, highlighting that the Comprehensive Cancer Care Programme offers advanced global-standard cancer care with the Varian Edge technology. He noted that thanks to these advancements, patients will no longer have to travel long distances for specialized treatment.

 

Dr. Rakesh Kapoor, the medical director of Medanta Hospital in Lucknow, explained that the first-of-its-kind machine in North India can effectively treat tumors of any location, size, and shape, significantly boosting cancer treatment capabilities in the region.
