Adult-onset atopic dermatitis is a difficult diagnosis to make

Diagnosing atopic dermatitis in adults is difficult as a result of which the condition may be more prevalent in this population group than believed, suggest findings of the National Health Interview Survey presented at the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) 2017 Summer Meeting in New York city. About 7-10% of US adults had atopic dermatitis, about half the prevalence in children.
