The Indian medical graduates could now continue postgraduate education and practice in nations like the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand that want World Federation for Medical Education (WFME certification as, the WFME has approved 10 years recognition status to Indian National Medical Commission (NMC).
All 706 of the already operating medical colleges will receive WFME accreditation as a result of this accreditation, as well as all future medical colleges founded in the next ten years. India will become a desirable location for overseas students as a result of its well acknowledged standards.
By bringing Indian medical education in line with international best practices and benchmarks, the NMC will raise that systems caliber and standards. A culture of quality assurance will be promoted among medical educators and institutions, and the recognition will help Indian medical schools and professionals gain more international recognition and goodwill. It will also make academic collaborations and exchanges easier.
Rs 4,98,5142 ($60,000) is required for each medical college participating in the WFME recognition procedure, which goes towards the site visit teams travel and lodging costs.
