Aortic stiffness is associated with glycemic control in asymptomatic patients with type 2 diabetes

Ascending aortic distensibility measured by Cardiovascular magnetic resonance is independently associated with poor glycemic control and adverse cardiovascular events, suggesting ascending aortic distensibility as a promising marker of cardiovascular risk in asymptomatic patients with type 2 diabetes. These findings are published March 5, 2018 in Cardiovascular Diabetology.
