Measles infection during childhood may cause airflow obstruction later on

Measles during childhood measles may cause post‐bronchodilator airflow obstruction in middle‐aged adults and aggravated this effect in the presence of current clinical asthma and smoking at least 10 pack‐years. These findings from the Tasmanian Longitudinal Health Study (TAHS) are published online March 20, 2018 in the journal Respirology.
