On Tuesday, Mrs. ReshmabiGauspir, 25, from Tekkalakote, passed away due to multiple organ failure at the Ballari Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS). She underwent a Caesarean section on January 6 and was discharged on January 8.
A week later, she experienced severe exhaustion and breathing difficulties, leading to her readmission on January 14. Despite 21 days of treatment, she succumbed on February 4.The hospital attributed her death to lung, heart, and kidney failure, but her family claimed medical negligence.
BIMS director Dr. Gangadharagouda stated she had a lung infection unrelated to the surgery. A similar incident occurred on January 7 when Mrs. Mahadevi, 21, died two days post-delivery, with her family also alleging negligence.
