Two engineers died after hair transplants at a Kanpur clinic run by an uncertified practitioner. Authorities have launched an investigation into alleged negligence and unsafe practices.
Two engineers, Mr. Vineet Dubey and Mr. Mayank Katiyar, tragically died within 24 hours after undergoing hair transplant procedures at a private clinic in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. What began as a routine cosmetic treatment turned fatal, with both men experiencing severe swelling, pain, and complications soon after the surgery.
The clinic, Empire, run by Dr. Anushka Tiwari, has since shut down, and the doctor is reportedly missing. Mr. Vineet's wife filed a complaint alleging negligence, prompting police to register an FIR for death by negligence. Investigations suggest infections during the procedures were left untreated.
Alarmingly, Dr. Tiwari is a dental surgeon without proper certification in hair transplantation, raising questions about the clinic's practices. A panel has been formed to probe the clinic's operations, patient safety, and staff qualifications amid growing public concern.
