Amazon, which already offers online pharmacy and teleconsultations, sees healthcare as a long-term growth area in India.

Mr. JayaramakrishnanBalasubramanian, Category Leader at Amazon Medical, stated that healthcare is a daily necessity and could become a significant part of our offerings in India. With competition from players like Tata 1mg and PharmEasy, Amazon plans to stand out by offering a connected care ecosystem that integrates health records, consultations, and prescriptions in one place. India is currently the only market where Amazon offers diagnostics.
