Undiagnosed celiac disease increases risk of abortions and stillbirths

A study published online in Human Reproduction has suggested that women with undiagnosed celiac disease may be more likely to have abortions or stillbirths than women who do not have celiac disease. However, the study also says that once diagnosed and treated with a gluten-free diet, the risks of pregnancy complications return to normal levels.
