Vascular inflammation in psoriasis increases risk of heart attacks and stroke

Patients with psoriasis are at a higher risk of developing heart attacks and strokes due to vascular inflammation says a study reported in the October 2017 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Vascular inflammation was significantly associated with disease duration and the risk increased 1.0 per additional year of the disease duration.
