First extended-release corticosteroid injection for knee OA gets FDA approval

The US Food and Drug Administration FDA has approved triamcinolone acetonide extended release injectable suspension Zilretta to relieve pain of knee osteoarthritis. The drug is to be administered as an intra articular injection.
