Doctors conference makes it to India Book of Records

AJMER: National Conference of Association of Physicians of India, Rajasthan branch, organized in Ajmer has got a place in the India Book of Records. Reason: It’s theme was ‘no plastic use.’ The two-day conference (December 22-23) was attended by doctors throughout India and they discussed new methods of treatment of diabetes and infectious diseases.

Secretary of association and senior professor of medicine, JLN Medical College Dr Sanjiv Maheshwari said that this will be a unique and first-of-its-kind experiment. The credit goes to all the doctors who got together to spread the message in the society about the harmful effects of plastic. He added that not a single plastic item was used in chairs, pen and other utilities in the two-day conference that was organized at Mayo College Ajmer where about 600 doctors participated.

The major message for the society is that plastic should be reduced from their lives to remain healthy. “Paper, glass and wood was used to give a message that without plastic there can be conferences,” said Maheshwari… (ET Healthworld, Dec. 25, 2018)
