Patient-centered educational contraceptive poster significantly improves contraceptive knowledge

A study which compared the CDC’s contraceptive effectiveness poster with a more patient-centered poster on factors affecting the likelihood of using effective contraceptives concluded that both posters educate women about contraception and may reduce unplanned pregnancy risk by improving contraceptive intentions. But, the patient-centered poster performs significantly better than the CDC poster at increasing contraceptive knowledge. The study is reported in the January 2019 issue of Obstetrics & Gynecology
