In a cross-sectional study of 8846 multiethnic Asian adults published online Jan. 4, 2019 in JAMA Network Open, diabetes and hyperglycemia were associated with thicker central corneal thickness (CCT). Diabetes, higher random glucose and A1c levels were associated with thicker CCT. These observations should be taken into consideration when interpreting intraocular pressure in patients with diabetes.
