36 swine flu deaths reported in Rajasthan

Thirty six swine flu deaths have been reported in the first 15 days of this month in Rajasthan, reported health officials. On Tuesday, another patient from Jaisalmer succumbed to the disease and 51 samples tested positive.

Rajasthan Health Minister, Raghu Sharma, announced that leaves of doctors and paramedical staff have been cancelled. The medicine for swine flu has been made available throughout the state and the situation is being monitored. He further mentioned that wherever a case of swine flu is found, the entire area is screened.

Jaipur has confirmed 17 positive cases of swine flu while Jodhpur reported 13. A total of 905 samples have tested positive this year. (Indian Express)
