On Monday, Vadodara rural police arrested 12 resident doctors of Waghodiya-based Sumandeep Vidyapeeth for partying with liquor in the early hours. As per the police officials, a resident of Shyamal County society complained to the control room at midnight about a group of people gathered in one of the houses in the society and were making loud noises. On this information, the police found and raided the house and saw that twelve people were having liquor.

A police official said that 12 people including 5 women, were sloshed with liquor and were not even able to stand properly and were talking pointless things. Police found 6 empty bottles of high-end Indian made foreign brands of liquor.

After questioning all 12 accused, it was found that they all were resident doctors and either live in rental houses or in the hostel. The accused doctors are natives of New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Tamil Nadu, Amritsar, Aligarh and Madhya Pradesh.

The police official also said that they are released as it was a bailable offence but their investigation about the source of the liquor is ongoing.
