From 1st April vaccine available for all above the age of 45 years

On Tuesday, Union minister Prakash Javadekar said that from 1st April, individuals above 45 years of age are eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccine. While briefing the reporters on the decisions that were taken by the Union Cabinet, he said that even an individual without any comorbidity and above the age of 45 years can get himself vaccinated. He has requested all people who are eligible to get themselves registered for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine shot.

The nationwide vaccination drive was rolled out on 16th January and all the healthcare workers got vaccinated and the immunization of the frontline workers was started from 2nd February. The next phase of COVID-19 vaccination had commenced from 1st March for people over 60 years of age and for people who are aged 45 years and above with specific comorbidities.
