  1. As per UAE data, at least 30% deaths are caused by diseases of heart and circulatory system,
  2. ACS registries and studies in the region have demonstrated that there is underutilization of emergency medical services. In addition, delays since chest pain till first medical contact are high. Though revascularization rates are high, primary PCI still has a significant shortfall as compared to fibrinolytic therapy.
  3. Education of public and healthcare professionals besides the integrated approach of all stakeholders to develop a system would address the ideal STEMI care.
